Am I affordable? How long will it take to fix the problem? Do I need the original CD's that came with my computer? Can my data be saved? How can I get Antivirus Software for free? What It Takes To Protect Your Computer?
Securing Your Wireless Network: 1.Change the default SSID name of your wireless router, or access point. Hackers know the default factory set names of the different brands of equipment. Change it to something that can’t be easily guessed (a unique name). Do not change it to a person’s name, or any other names you might use. 2.Disable the SSID broadcast option – SSID broadcast is set to on as default for most equipment. Disabling this option will make it harder for others to connect to your network. 3.Change the default password needed to access a wireless device – Default passwords are set by the manufacturer and are known by hackers. By changing the password you can prevent others from accessing and changing your network settings. 4.Enable MAC address filtering – This is a feature on some wireless access devices that will only allow access by devices containing certain MAC IDs. This is not a foolproof solution, however, it can slow down a hacker and add another security block in his/her way. 5.Make sure to set the Security Encryption (Network Password) on your wireless device. Which it could be a WEP, or WAP. 64Bit, or128 Bit.
